Bingo Loco

On the MONDAY of Forbidden Fruit Festival 6pm - 9pm in the Someplace Else Stage the runaway, b*stard child of traditional bingo complete with rave rounds, CO2 guns, confetti cannons, conga lines and dance offs. The conventional Bingo Cartel don't like what we do. We don't care. We are bringing bingo kicking and screaming into a full on party rave! We've got the ball's... the bingo balls to make you roar so loud you'll definitely lose your voice. Leave your Nan at home for this one...or dress her in neon and drag her down! So far we've given away: a trip to Amsterdam, festival tickets, a life boat, a bouncy castle, a cutout of Niall Horan, a Lamborghini (might have been a child's version), cold hard cash, and much more.. However, this all pales in comparison to what we have in store for Forbidden Fruit festival.

Cocktail Bar

What could be more fitting for the start of the summer than a cocktail with friends, on the menu at this years Forbidden Fruit Festival we have: Cloudy Ginmade with gin, freshly squeezed apple juice topped with Bulmers Cloudy Lemon. Apple Mojito – made with vodka, fresh mint, pressed apple, fresh lime, topped with soda.  Pink Lady - made with vodka, fresh mango, lemon & lime sours, topped with bulmers original cider. Orange Sailor- made with spiced rum, pineapple puree, topped with freshly squeezed lime and topped with Red Bull Orange. Joining Bulmers Original Cider, 5Lamps Dublin Lager & Outcider and this years festival!

Comedy Tent

Aside from the awesome  line up of Irish and international music acts, our Comedy Tent is full to bursting with some of Ireland’s finest and best loved comedians joining the festivities.  The tent will be MC’d by the human dynamo, Andrew Stanley ,a man known for taking on and destroying the most committed of hecklers....(You have been warned!)

Joe Rooney, is probably best known as gurrier priest Fr Damo from ‘ Father Ted’ but it is as a stand up comic that this high energy comedy star truly shines, Jarlath Regan, the man behind the hugely successful ‘Irishman Abroad ‘ podcast, jets in for his only Irish show this year. Ballymun motormouth Eric Lalor is one of the most in demand comics on the circuit . Just back from a sell-out tour of Australia, Galway based Steve Bennett was recently crowned ‘Irish Comedian Of The Year’ - come and check him out! Danny O’Brien is one of the fastest rising stars both here and in the UK, where he now spends most of his time. We can’t WAIT to check out festival favourites, the sometimes-silly-but-always-hilarious musical double act, Totally Wired Co creator of the satirical TV show  ‘The Savage Eye ‘ John Colleary is one of the most underrated acts in the country and his razor sharp one-liners and acute observations are sure to be a highlight! The Comedy Tent will also play host to the hottest ,most exciting emerging talent, too. Over the weekend punters will get a chance to see these great new acts, including  Martin Angolo, Bernard Casey, Emma Doran, Dimitri Bankov, Brian Gallagher, Ryan Cullen, Emmam Idama, Davey Riley, Laura Byrne and introducing the winner of the Forbidden Fruit Comedy Talent Search, which has been taking place at The Chelsea Drugstore, George’s St each Thursday in the lead up to the festival.
