Jamie XX

One third of London band, The XX, Jamie Smith aka Jamie XX is one of the most prolific and interesting remixers going at the minute (he’s even remixed the BBC’s Newsnight theme!) and he makes his Dublin debut at Forbidden Fruit this summer. Citing Four Tet, Theo Parrish, Bullion and Mala as influences, Jamie’s sets draw influence from the UK underground scene playing tracks that “instantly trigger images of amazing parties”.

His unlikely collaboration with Gil-Scott Heron on their album “We’re New Here” has been met with amazing reviews and is tipped to be one of the biggest successes of 2011.
